There is joy in the chaos, giggles on the long days, and blessing in the mundane and those are the things that deserve to be remembered.
Kids don’t stay small for very long. As time passes, the greasy fingerprints will stop showing up on the windows. The little hands won’t need to be held as you cross the street. The sound of little feet running through the halls will get quieter. Toys will be put away and this time they stay there.
Some of the beauty of this season comes from the truth that it doesn’t last forever.
Documentary photography holds the joy of the moment long after it passes. Photos shape what you remember the clearest. They tell of big personalities in your little people. What is Documentary Photography ?
A documentary photo session is focused on telling the story of your family. It often takes place somewhere special to you. We will do the activities and play the games your family loves to play. I’ll join in on the fun like an old friend with a camera, and the result is a gallery of photos that truly feel like your family.
This in-home concept makes it much more comfortable and familiar for your kids. The smiles come easier, the shyness goes away faster, and there are no car rides to new locations in uncomfortable clothes trying to hold everything together!
A documentary session is more relaxing and peaceful. There is no rush to get anything done and no stiff poses that don’t feel like you. A session is an opportunity to put your phone camera away and to be present, knowing you will have beautiful pictures of these moments that both parents get to be in at the same time.

FAQs
What should my family wear?
Pick one color that you’re loving this year and accent it with neutrals and complimentary patterns. For young children, it’s anything that matches while also making your children feel comfortable and relaxed. After booking, I am here for any consult questions about outfits and locations!
When do I recieve the gallery?
I deliver all your photos within two weeks of the shoot. They are available for free, high-resolution, digital download for the next year.
How long is a given shoot?
My shoots are all at minimum 45 minutes. I know how challenging it can be to get multiple young children to behave at the same time! I’ve seen short shoots can lead to stressed parents and stressed smiles, and that’s not what any of us want. I give you and your family time to feel comfortable in front of the lens.
How many photos do I recieve?
Limiting photos based on price doesn’t appeal to me. These are memories for your family, so I give you every photo worth keeping. This tends to be 80+ lightly edited photos, depending on the length of the session and size of the family.
Where can I find your pricing?
After you inquire, I’ll send you a PDF detailing my packages and pricing. We can discuss which package suits your family best and move forwad from there. For the Traditional style session, packages start at $375, while the Documentary and Liftstyle sessions start at $400 with discounts available for Pastors and indoor sessions between 9:00am and 3:00pm.
Do you travel?
Yes! I primarily serve the Dallas and Des Moines areas, but I’ll travel to you! I have a special pricing PDF for any shoot further than a 75 minute drive. All prices are as listed in the PDF with no added fees.
